Research
I have research interests on stem cell mechanics, growth and differentiation, and regenerative medicine. During my PhD, I used atomic force microscope (AFM) to characterize Young's modulus values of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) when they differentiated into the osteogenic lineage on bioactive peptide nanofiber hydrogels. Rat MSCs formed cellular aggregates on the peptide nanofibers, accumulated high level of calcium and their Young's moduli increased throughout the differentiation process.
